As an author and popular keynote speaker, Chuck is a respected authority on entrepreneurial small businesses, having spent over thirty years as both a business consultant and an executive coach. Chuck is a regular contributor to trade journals and newsletters and is the author of the popular weekly leadership series Monday Morning Notes and his books The Entrepreneurial Conspiracy and Forging Dynasty Businesses.

Joining Violand in 2008, he advanced through leadership roles until he acquired the firm in 2025 as part of a planned succession. Prior to Violand, he held hands-on positions in the trades and senior management positions at top-performing restoration companies.
